Title of Program: 100 Years and Still Reading Centennial Summer Reading Program
Type of Program: Conference Program
Description of Program: Saddle up for a ride through Arizona history during the statewide Summer Reading Program for 2012. We’ll celebrate the centennial by tracking down past and present famous Arizonans. We’ll pan for geographic gold as we explore the state’s amazing peaks, canyons and deserts. Our trail will also find us riding the range as we discover the state’s unique animal and plant life. And of course, our celebration would not be complete without gathering to sing some good old Arizona songs around the campfire. Put your ten-gallon thinking hat on as we get inspired together about the many possibilities the Summer Reading Program has for 2012. It has been said that in order to get to the future, you sometimes have to look at the past. Inspired by our history, we’ll ride off into the sunset together, ready to create the next 100 years of reading in Arizona.
