Title of Program (140 character max): Apps for Work (& Life)
Type of Program: Conference Program
Description of Program (150 words max):
There is a wealth of useful mobile device apps out there that have the power to make our jobs and lives easier. We will share our favorite Android and iOS apps that we find worth using for library work and/or for sharing with customers. Some that we share will serve as tools for reference, some for overall job enrichment, and some are practical apps that are just plain fun.
Program Track: Technology & Tech Services
If applicable, please state how the program relates to this year’s theme, Beyond the Box.:
Using mobile devices and apps in the library beyond the standard ebook apps is a new way to make technology work in your favor while at the library. We hope to expose attendees to new ways to use their mobile devices at work as well as to inspire creativity and confidence so that attendees will seek out other apps that they can use to enrich their work and personal lives.
Please list any additional audio/visual equipment you would like to request:
We may use our own equipment to hook up an ipad and/or other mobile devices to the projector, so having access to the projector, screen, and Wi-Fi will be helpful.
If this program is accepted, it is understood that all speakers/presenters will register for the AzLA Conference for a minimum of one day at the appropriate level of eligibility. AzLA reserves the right to cancel any program for which any of the speakers/presenters is not a registered conference attendee. View Policy: Yes
